LED pleasure brings to TV viewing

LED technology first used as an indicator of status and lamp. Over the past six years, however, has been developed to meet the needs of general application lighting. Samsung is among the first to incorporate light-emitting diodes (LEDs) in television technology, which is taking the technology world by storm.

With the introduction of Samsung Full HD LED TV sets B7000 and B6000, light emitting diodes to replace the obsolete or CCFL cold cathode fluorescent lamps as the main source of light. As a result, very high contrast and depth to introduce a streamlined experience more enjoyable viewing. Samsung’s LED televisions are also more environmentally friendly technologies for allowing homes to save more energy. Unlike other technologies backlight, the LED does not use mercury television, minimizing the risks to the environment and the home.

TV LED has a value of about 40,000 hours’ to see time in its life cycle than sixty LCD TV thousands of hours of viewing. However, the purchase of LED-Powered save a television viewer average value of about five years’ consumption of energy. On a smaller scale, LED TV to reduce energy consumption up to 40% on LCD high-definition television of similar size.

What are LED TV?

Just when you thought you had researched all the possible options for a new HDTV another rears its head. It promises to be completely different, but one thing that is different is the price tag. I am a bit ‘more. Yes, I’m talking about LED TVs.

What exactly are LED televisions and how do they differ between the existing options? To begin, the name LED TV is really a misnomer. Is not a completely new technology that uses LEDs to display the image. Actually refers to the type of backlight that is used. Typical LCD HDTV are not very good at displaying complete darkness so that the photos might not be clear as it might. With LED backlight contrast there is much more because they can turn the LED off completely which makes the blackest blacks and gives an incredibly sharp image compared to LCD technology standards.

There are two different types of TV LED backlight. Edge lit and local dimming. Edge TV sets are turned on the LEDs around the edge of the TV, which allows a manufacturer to make the TV, even flatter. Local dimming LED contains localized behind the TV screen. In my opinion, local dimming gives a much better picture and contrast much higher than the edge-lit screens. As with everything you have to consider the cost function for each report. Edge lit TVs are less expensive than local blackout, but you may notice a slight difference in contrast.

In the future, will be heard of OLED technology, which stands for Organic Light-Emitting Diode. There is no lack of new technologies, but as my teacher said, “Technology is like a river passing through, you just have to decide when to grab the bucket and fill it.”
