LED TV – do not be fooled, to understand the first Technology

Thinking of buying a TV LED, so ….Stop! Before spending in excess of $ 1500, you must cut through the jargon and hype to really understand the technology that you’re actually spending your hard earned money on. Producers of TV and media are very good at convincing us that newer products incorporating the most advanced technology and are a must have. Lets Get Real Here, for the average consumer, most of this language is just down right confusing.

A new range of LED televisions that have hit the market with a great buzz. Samsung has crawled through the backdoor and have released the 7000 range that boasts the LED technology.

That’s great … but thats what this LED technology is claimed to be?

Current TV LED – The Truth The term ‘LED’s’ for Light Emitting Diode and how can you know LEDs are used in many of our devices under consideration, however, in terms of line current of LED TVs, LEDs are actually used for the backlight of the TV only and not the TV display. If one considers that the current TV technology uses CCFL (Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamps), there is no doubt that LED backlighting is a more efficient backlight.

However, the important point here is that television is actually LED LCD (Liquid Crystal Display), is just that the backlight is made up of LEDs. So there are two major technologies in use here, for the LCD display and LEDs for the backlight. In essence, a more advanced form of LCD TVs.

When you compare this technology to a television real LED display. Show as OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) lights himself, using a thin inner layer of LEDs for viewing.

The fact that the ‘term LED TV’ has been used to describe a type of LCD TV is a clever move by Samsungs, but the genius in marketing terms, given that capitalizes on the buzz today in the TV market of a real TV LED display as the Sony XEL-1 OLED TV.

LCD TV with LED Backlight – Improvements Now that we have established that this is an LCD TV with LED backlight allows you to see how this new range of TV improves current technology such as plasma TVs and LCD standard in 3 key areas:

1. Picture Quality Very simply, the image quality was better than standard LCD and Plasma, because the range of color have increased. Using Light Emitting Diodes as a source of light instead of the traditional bulb provides a higher contrast ratio, because the LED produces blacks blacks and whiter whites, this is the key to obtaining quality images on screen.

3. Slimmer Models. Since no provision of a conventional light source is needed, LED TV can be made ultra thin, this makes for a subtle, elegant, the model more attractive.

Decisions, Decisions If you’re in the market for a TV now and want a better quality in advance of the current standard LCD and Plasma is on the market, then you can not go wrong with a TV on LED.

However, if you are in no hurray to buy a TV at this time and require a TV with technology that takes place at the forefront of cutting-edge technology in terms of LED, OLED TV is a bargain. Laser TV is another option to explore.

Both technologies are emerging and require patience, as they find their place in the market, with the correct size screen for your home. These TVs can also request to dig a little ‘more to your bank account.

The moral of the story is to understand the technology behind the product in detail first part with your money, the choice is yours.
