Specifications: LN40B550 Samsung is a 40-inch LCD HDTV. This is a model that can reproduce full HD video with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 (1080p). It has a 70,000: 1 contrast ratio that produces more realistic and sharper images. This model features 4 HDMI ports, a USB port and a host of other standard connectors. There are also two speakers with SRS surround sound, producing a total of 20 watts of audio power.
Design: The Samsung LN40B550 is part of Samsung Series Red Touch Color. Sizes and ‘38, 7 x 10 x 26.6 cm and weighs 39.7 pounds. Its structure is mostly black (glossy) with a touch of red for the area under the screen bezel. There’s also a bit ‘plastic around the edge of the frame. The screen is based on a shiny black rectangular stand (stand swivel).
Features and benefits: After testing different types of films, we found that the LN40B550 Samsung Blu-ray and DVD player, really good. The standard definition video were also quite good. Considering his performance, features and price, this is a great mid-range model LCD HDTV. The image quality does not match the more expensive models on the market, but would be more than enough for the casual user. When connected to my PS3 or my laptop, the video was very good. The user interface and menus are also very easy to navigate. At the time of writing, the Samsung LN40B550 cost about 850 dollars each.
