LCD stands for many different things depending on the field is used. Mathematics LCD is defined as the lowest common denominator, while Atkins diet is low in carbohydrates. But there will be talking about a liquid crystal display LCD or the abbreviation used in the world or the television or home entertainment. LCD has sometimes been defined as a liquid crystal diode. Sometimes it is confused or LED Light Emitting Diode. The LED is better known as the red light on clock radios. A diode has nothing to do with the projection of light in televisions.
The long-term and liquid crystal LCD refers to media that electricity is applied. The crystals twist and bend in certain degrees and the change in shape allows for up to 1024 shades of a color on your TV.
